The District covers a 90-square-mile geographic area and serves over 38,000 students from kindergarten through high school. Within the village limits of Streamwood are numerous elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. Areas of Streamwood located east of Barrington Road are served by Elementary School District 54 and High School District 211. Nearby Elgin Community College serves 22 in-district communities, along with portions of ten other communities.
The Streamwood Oaks Golf Course on Madison Drive is a nine-hole golf course that features a 3,404-yard layout. It contains a full-service pro shop, and is owned by the Village of Streamwood. The Streamwood Park District also provides various recreational opportunities. Major facilities include a community center; Park Place Family Recreation Center with a state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor track, and other amenities; and Aquarius Pool and Park. More than 350 recreation programs are offered each year for individuals of all ages.
