Lincolnshire is also bordered on the east by the Tri-State Tollway, and is a 30-minute drive from O'Hare International Airport. Most elementary students attend Lincolnshire-Prairie View District #103 with 1,747 students; a small portion of students attend Aptakisic-Tripp District #102 with 2,641 students. High school students attend Adlai E. Stevenson High School District #125, with an enrollment of 4,000. It is recognized as one of the highest academically-ranked schools in the nation: both Newsweek and U.S. News & World Report ranked the high school among the top 100 high schools in the United States.
Lincolnshire has a number of parks and nature preserves that provide a wealth of leisure- time opportunities. Parks include Balzer Park, which includes four tennis courts and a playground; Bicentennial Park, which has a playground and picnic area; and eight-acre Spring Lake Park, which is comprised of a one-acre lake, baseball diamond, tennis court, and other amenities. Nature preserves include Florsheim Nature Preserve, which contains roughly 800 trees and is located in the northeast corner of the village; and North Park Nature Preserve featuring a large number of recreational activities.
Villagers can also relax at Marriott's Lincolnshire Resort, located in the heart of town. Set amongst 190 wooded acres, it features a variety of amenities including fine dining, an assorting of sports activities, musical theatre, and other attractions.
