The village contains numerous subdivisions featuring condos, ranch homes and multi-level homes that have been built primarily after 1975. Home ownership is about 91.3 percent, and the median price of a home in Country Club Hills is $191,500. In June, 2006, a four-bedroom, three-bath house was selling for $375,000, while a three-bedroom, two and one-half bedroom home was listed for $112,500.
For recreation, residents can visit the Family Golf Center on 175th Street or stroll, bike, or jog on the beautiful forest preserve path located south of Flossmoor Road and east of Cicero Avenue. . They can also visit more than one-half dozen area parks including Independence Park, Wolf Park, Cypress Park, Tower Park, Community Park, and others.
For shopping, residents can head on over to the Heritage Plaza Shopping Center, the shops at Coopers Grove Shopping Center, and to Lincoln Mall on Route 30 and Cicero Avenue in nearby Matteson. In terms of education, Country Club Hills has a large number of public and private quality schools. In Country Club Hills School District 160, younger students can attend one of three elementary schools and one middle school. Hillcrest High School on Pulaski Road provides older students with a public education; Independence High School on 183rd Street serves the needs of special education students.
There are also a number of excellent private schools in Country Club Hills. Kinder Care Learning Center on 178th Place enrolls pre-kindergarten and kindergarten-aged children. Other private schools in the area include St. John's Lutheran School on 183rd Street, the Alternative Academic Achievement Special Education School on Baker Avenue, and the Potters House School on Soleri.
